I'd wait forever and a day...

Jumpsuit: H&M Shoes: Allsaints Bag: Milan Belt: Reiss Sunglasses:Topshop Watch: Vintage Malta used to have the most incredible old buses. They were family owned, from the 50's and had their own names and designs - kind of like their family crest. They were so beautiful, a lasting feeling of old Malta and its heritage. Unfortunately this year they have been taken over by Arriva (a British bus company) and have gone to the big scrap heap in the sky. It's sad, but I suppose we can't stop a country from developing because of our own penchant for aesthetics. So, whilst waiting for the bus (Malta is not famed for its bus service, and it would appear the new ones haven't changed much on the south of the island)we took some shots in and around the bus stop. This jumpsuit was shrunk, by yours truly, but I quite like the new length, its kind of ankle length and has just the right amount of swing in it when you walk. I have an absolute obsession with cat-eye glasses. I got a vintage pair a couple of years ago (tortoise shell) which I made into reading glasses- since then I have searched for the perfect pair in a sunglasses form- Top shop helped me out here and I got these little beauties earlier on in the spring. The weather was just so hot that white seemed the only way to go ( nothing to do with trying to make myself look more tanned.)

Whats your religion? Why Chanel of course....

I completely worship at the alter of Chanel and I have no problem admitting that, even if it does make me a heathen! Freja Behah Erichsen is just wonderful in every editorial but there is something about her Chanel shots that always makes me fall in love with her that little bit more. I love the fact they have used an old photobooth, I am always drawn to these whenever I see them.... may have something to do with my obsession with the film 'Amelie' Karl Largerfield, enlisting Carine Rotfield, former editor of French Vogue, to style his latest AW campaign sounds like a fabricated dream... Just need Co Co herself, Mrs Hepburn and Amelia Earhart and we gots ourselves a Dinner party!!

Dress: Zara Belt: Vintage Shoes: Vintage Watch: Vintage I have just returned from my family home away from home in Malta- I cannot explain how much I love that place, it is just so beautiful, picturesque and quaint- the kind of place you could imagine a romantic comedy involving middle aged hotties and a holiday romance to take place! I spotted this door whilst on a day trip in the neighbouring town of Birgu (I have a slight obsession with doors) and I just had to have my picture taken in front of it- just so happens that the blue contrasted with my dress perfectly- This dress is one of those things that you buy because it is perfect in every way but instantly know will only ever really be appropriate for holidays- mainly due to the thigh high slits and the near see-through material. I spent a wonderful seven days with my sister and two of my best friends (one of which pain stakingly followed me around in the blazing sun taking photo's- thank you Azin!!) And my parents joined us in the last couple of days, it was the perfect week, doing the perfect things with perfect people *GUSH*

My heart beats for Love..

I love 'LOVE' magazine. I realise how kitch that may sound written down but I really do just adore this publication. It is, to me, everything an inspirational piece of print should be: beautiful, bold, inspiring and original. The current issue portrays a cleaver spin on both the military and androgonistic style of AW11 by depicting a 'Top gun'-esk series of photographs- sailors, captains and air pilots ensue. The impossibly beautiful Alessandra dons an almost unrecognisable look of a 50's war veteran. Shot by Boo George it is one of the single most inspirational takes on this trend I have seen in a long time. Makes me want big gold buttons on every piece of my clothing and a tiny sailor hat for every day use. The editorials are always exactly what I want to see, channeling current and pre-season trends but with a difference and a sense of individualism and the interviews are candid, enthralling and charming. As much as I will always be a firm devotee to that of VOGUE and ELLE, I have to say that I covet this magazine with every sense of urgency and see it more as 430 page mood board of inspiring people, images and dreams.

Rodarte for Opening Ceremony AW11 Lookbook

Rodarte for opening ceremony fall 2011 Look book is amazing. Trying to go through the photos and pick the best ones was the hardest part of this post. The Mulleavy sisters seem as though they have drawn on all manners of inspiration for this collection: from little house on the prairie farmhouse- Amish- 40's glamour- 20's speak easy and french Renaissance. The colour pallet is a fantastic take on the colour blocking and jewel tones as of late and Each look is diverse, fresh, yet perfectly pitched.

Match made in heaven

Kate Moss and Stella McCartney- Could there ever be anything wrong with that sentence? McCartney enlisted Moss to be the face of her new advertising campaign, shot by Ryan McGinley, and the results are beyond enchanting. There seems to be a definite influence of The Beatles in this campaign, with the sketchy, pencil drawn aspects correlating to that of the 'Revolver' album cover and the rainbow, acid-trip of the earlier covers 'Yellow Submarine' and 'Sgt. pepper' Kate Moss never seems to age- and her signature look is depicted perfectly in these photographs.

Second Skin...

Devastatingly my camera (Also known as Big Joe) has taken a tumble :( This news is obviously extremely painful and he is with the camera-doc as we speak, should be back within 7-10 days. That may as well be 7-10 years.. but at least he is in good hands. Prepare to be inundated with a plethora of outfit posts upon his return, But until then I shall just post the things I have been meaning to but have not due to getting side tracked.... Firstly: Some pictures from a recent editorial in Schön! Magazine entitled 'Skin Ink', shot by Diego Indraccolo & Pok U Chan I love this series because it not only champions the female form - check the special attention paid to the 'Lady Garden' with the embellished chiffon-esk effects- keeping it classy and tasteful whilst still remaining pretty obvious that the eye is to be drawn here- a new twist on nudity and the connotations that are usually associated with it by covering the women in Skin clothes- inspired. The fact that it is also so current, tapping into AW trends, Stars, Bondage, Romantic chiffon, Tribal.. whether or not this was deliberate is irrelivant, it just shows the broad audience this specific shoot has appealed to. All of this is achieved whilst still holding the interest and fantastical aspect of the editorial.. like a Tim Burton style fairytale coupled with Alexander McQueen. Every time I look at them I see something new.

An outfit to remember....

I have just re-visited the 1957 classic 'An affair to remember' and it is just such an enchanting film - not just because of the impossibly romantic story-line and the fact that Cary Grant is the definition of a 'dream boat' (can we still use that phrase?) but Deborah Kerr's outfits are to. die. for. Beautiful, feminine yet still in-keeping with the visionary's of the time, empowering woman with their sexuality and understated take on it. In the opening scene Kerr dons a tan, taupe and tangerine chiffon floor length number accompanied by a Tangerine cape-like constricted coat. This outfit is so far ahead of it's time in both shape and colour that it just goes to show that classic materials, shapes and shades never loose their appeal. The next outfit that had me reeling was the safari type silk, shin-length dress with matching trench. I mean if there was ever such a thing as a capsule wardrobe then surely this woman owns 70% of it. Furs, hats, gowns and pink champagne ensue and the whole film made me fall in love all over again. It is no wonder that Charles Le Maire won an Oscar for the costumes in this film, Were he to design the costumes for my life, I too believe I would lead an impossibly romantic existence.

Prague paradiso...

Sometimes you get pushed into doing things by the people who love you and therefor believe in everything you do, even if you are a bit unsure of it yourself! This is exactly what happened to me recently by my older sister. She urged me to enter a competition with a Photograph taken whilst on my current trip to Milan, and I won?! So my sister and I are going on a 5 star Trip to Prague for a weekend, I have never been and I have heard nothing but beautiful things. I am beyond excited and still a bit shell shocked. In the night air..

Top: Vintage Skirt: Asos Shoes: Reiss Bag: Zara Necklace: Bulter and Wilson It was one of my dearest friends birthday yesterday so I went to visit her for a girly evening in Liverpool. I love Liverpool, it is so lively and you cannot help but admire the women and their ability to maintain such high levels of glamour no matter the hour of the morning! I have had an urge to don this lime green and purple get up for quite some time, but had to figure out how I was going to execute it without looking like a ribeana berry, Decided to throw on a massive necklace and a hint of snakeskin into the mix to throw off the blackcurrent-esk scent. This bag is beautiful. It is like a leather and suede dream - I am aware they are practically one and the same, but I have to make a point of the textures and how they add that extra bit of luxury. I am trying to figure out how I am going to break the news to my boyfriend that there are two other men in my life, Butler and Wilson- I cannot seem to take this necklace off, it just goes with everything and instantly lifts even the most plain of outfits. May need to invest in some garments to hide the hump I will no doubt acquire from wearing it.

Someone like you....

The impossibly stylish, Kate Shillingford last week married her partner, Alex Dromgoole, at Greenwich's Eltham Palace, in a custom Gareth Pugh dress- sporting candy pink hair that set off the pale grey and vintage inspired gown- it is so very ornate that it reminds me of Tudor style intricacy and grandeur with a Gothic twist. Kate looks breath taking and the historic references to the romantic connotations just reflect her unique take on fashion and style when channeling a feeling or emotion.. love can be beautiful and oh so delicate.

Walking on sunshine...

Blazer: Zara Skirt:Zara Shirt: Zara Shoes: Christian Louboutin Bag: Jocasi Necklace: Butler and Wilson I decided to bring out the big guns in a bid to urge the weather to get better.. Sunshine yellow is the only colour that seemed appropriate for this mammoth task. And it worked!! (well, for the ten minute interval that these photographs were taken in) The necklace is a firm favourite of mine, feels like I have four bike chains around my neck and I walk a bit like Mr Smithers in it, but I sacrifice the neck cramp for the beauty. I have had these lime green Louboutins for a couple of years and only wore them a handful of times, always forget how much I love them! I am not one for matching accessories normally, I find it too contrived, but in this instance it felt like the only way to go.
